Northern Nevada International Center

The Northern Nevada International Center is a sponsored project of the University of Nevada, Reno in the United States and a 501(c)3 nonproft organization that fosters the role of citizen diplomacy in building bridges of international awareness and understanding. The NNIC’s work focuses in international visitor relations, cultural and educational outreach programs and interpretation and translation services offered to the community.  As part of the  International Visitors Council, the NNIC links internationally-oriented individuals, businesses, civic groups and government officials of Northern Nevada with foreign delegates, including youth participants, in an effort to facilitate exchanges between people from the U.S. and abroad.  Our educational programs dynamically engage members of our community, with a focus on youth programming, to better understand global awareness and become an active participant in their world.

Sierra Nevada College

Sierra Nevada College is a small liberal arts college located in Lake Tahoe, California, that focuses on the humanities, arts, sciences and social sciences.  The college believes in providing overall historical and social perspectives to best prepare its students for today’s contemporary issues in the work force and help develop an overall sense of understanding in the world.  The mission statement of the college is the following:

“Our graduates will be scholars of and contributors to a sustainable world.  SNC combines the liberal arts and professional preparedness through an interdisciplinary curriculum which emphasizes entrepreneurial thinking and environmental, social, economic, and educational sustainability.”
